Production

This section of the production web site identifies various aspects of MODAPS data production for both Collection 4 and Collection 5 forward processing and Collection 5 reprocessing. The major production activities pertain to the generation of atmospheres and land data products. However, some residual oceans SST production continues (Terra Collection 5 and Aqua Collection 4 forward processing). Oceans SST processing is transitioning to the OCDPS and it is expected that MODAPS Aqua processing will discontinue shortly and that the Terra processing will continue into the summer of 2006.

Production Schedules and Actuals.
This page provides access to the production plans for Collection 5 atmospheres and land reprocessing in graphical form. The former production started with the Aqua data on April 10, 2006 and will proceed at approximately 15x. The latter production is expected to start with the Terra-only interval on June 5, 2006 and will proceed at approximately 3.6x. Actual production rates will be shown for inter-comparison.

Data Outages
This provides information concerning data outages for the Terra and Aqua instruments.

PGE Versions
This provides access to the PGE versions which are currently in use for forward and reprocessing production. The page also provides historical information concerning the dates at which PGE versions were changed.
